These small wheeled carts can be filled with everything from scissors, newspapers and wallpaper paste, to saws, hammers and nails.

The Palmelund Work Cart is designed for creative spaces where an empty milk carton can be transformed into a spaceship, an old bottle top can become a flower or steering wheel, a Christmas decoration can be decorated with feathers and sequins, and much more. In other words, spaces that appeal to children’s curiosity and imagination, as it’s here that children learn about and hone practical skills, such as hammering, cutting, gluing, screwing, etc.

The Palmelund Work Cart is a flexible aid that can be filled with materials, tools, toys, and exciting surprises. An acrylic glass panel can be mounted on the top to display ongoing or finished work, as well as other educational content to help develop the children’s creativity.

“The children love exploring the various things we keep in the small work carts. We change out their contents regularly so the children can be inspired by different things and develop their creative abilities,” reflects Annemette Vest, Principle at Carls Børnehus, Odense.

The Palmelund Work Cart was conceived and designed in partnership with Carls Børnehus, Odense in 2012.
